ALUMINIUM

ALUMINIUM

Lightweight, but incredibly strong Aluminium is the most commonly occurring metal in the earths crust. It is fully recyclable, resistant to corrosion and also nontoxic. Aluminium is a silvery-white metal that is soft and malleable.

First produced in 1825 in an impure form by Danish physicist and chemist Hans Christian Ørsted, it’s refined version is now used in a huge variety of products including cans, foils, kitchen utensils, window frames, aircrafts and at times door hardware.

In recent times we have also seen aluminium used in large scale architectural projects as reflective cladding for skyscrapers and commercial buildings, such as the CTLES in Paris and the New York flagship store for Hublot.

FLORENCE GLASS ATELIER

FLORENCE GLASS ATELIER

A truly unique manufacturing process, Florence Glass Atelier is mouth-blown and hand finished by artisans in a Florentine foundry. Each piece is individually made using time-honoured forming and decorating techniques, where special embellishments are applied directly to the glass during manufacture.

The Florence Glass ATELIER® was inspired by embedding the philosophy of the fashion world into product research. The focus lays on enhancing crystal material by reflecting colours and textures found in today’s fashion and interior design industries. The result is durable, hygienic and fashionably beautiful bath wares.

Within the Pittella collection exists a stunning and unique selection of Italian made Florence Glass ATELIER® vanity basins.

CRISTALLO DE’MEDICI

CRISTALLO DE’MEDICI

Cristallo De Medici is one of the most opulent and cutting edge crystal design materials handled only by glass artisans. It is pure crystal that has 24% lead content. The dazzling attributes of Cristallo De Medici are what you might find in royal jewels – they include high grades of clarity, cut, and carat.

Products that are made from this luxurious crystal are mouth-blown and bevelled in stone by master artists scribing to the most ancient and noble glass arts from the famous ‘glass island’ of Murano. It is believed that glassmaking in Murano originated in 8th-century Rome and has had a long standing appreciation to this day.

Pittella offers a striking Cristallo De Medici benchtop vessel that mimics the attributes of a perfectly sculptured diamond.

VETROFREDDO

VETROFREDDO

VetroFreddo® is an incredibly innovative material composed of glass pigments and resin. It is extremely versatile, offering boundless shapes and designs – in fact, the only limit is imagination when it comes to this durable and heat resistant material.

It comes in a huge range of colours in transparent, semi-transparent or opaque form thanks to the inherent composition of glass pigments. Cleaning a VetroFreddo® is made easy with soft sponges and non-granular soap. You can even gently rub on some olive oil to aid any superficial scratches.

Pittella stock a selection of VetroFreddo® counter top basins which suit any contemporary application.

TEKNOFORM

TEKNOFORM

Teknoform is a polymer based material that mimics a variety of textures including mosaic tiles, stone, marble and timber.  This is achieved through the composition of stone powder and resin. The benefit of this amazing feature is that it creates beautiful textures found in nature without the associated costs and ongoing maintenance.

The advantages for artisans working with polymer based material is that it allows for precision. It also allows the designers to be more experimental, more defined and sculptural, all the while producing a finish that replicates the look and texture of a natural surface.

Pittella’s Teknoform basins address the trend toward minimalist and natural surfaces in bathroom fittings. These basins are sealed after manufacture allowing for easy cleaning with the wipe of a damp cloth.

304 GRADE STAINLESS STEEL

304 GRADE STAINLESS STEEL

304 Grade Stainless steel accounts for more than 50% of all stainless steel produced, represents between 50 and 60% of Australia’s consumption of stainless materials and finds applications in almost every industry.

The composition was developed by W. H. Hatfield at Firth-Vickers in 1924, and can withstand corrosion from most oxidizing acids. This durability makes it easier to sanitise which is why it is ideal for kitchen and food applications. It is also common in buildings, décor, and interior furnishings.

Pittella 304 Grade Stainless Steel ancillary items are manufactured from just that. It resists ordinary corrosion in most architectural applications, is cost effective and durable in harsh atmospheric conditions.
