Achille Castiglioni was a renowned industrial designer. He was often inspired by everyday things and made use of ordinary materials. In 1969, he was nominated Professor of Artistic Industrial Design; he chaired the Faculty of Architecture in Turin until 1980 and taught until 1993 as Professor of Industrial Design at the Polytechnic of Milan.
Antonio Citterio graduated in architecture from Milan Polytechnic and opened his studio in 1972. His work on handles involves the redesign of classic models, studying the small details and new proportions which then become the characteristic elements.
