Pittella is a family business with more than 40 years of experience in producing and importing high-quality architectural door fittings and striking bathroom accessories. Pittella has an inhouse studio of skilled designers and also works with some of the world’s most respected architects, such as David Chipperfield, Frank Gehry and Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, to create an exclusive range of designs.
Pittella’s stunning range of vanity basins are crafted from innovative, high quality materials, including polymers, resins, Murano Glass and pure crystal with 24% lead content.
“There is no porcelain or ceramic used within the entire collection,” says Pittella’s managing director, Simone Pittella. “This means that the artisans who produce our basins are able to achieve more defined edges and corners. This can’t be achieved with porcelain or ceramic.”
Pittella’s advanced range of materials also allows designers to be more experimental with unique sculptural forms. This can be noted in the beautiful curves of Pittella’s Infinity Starlight and Flower counter top basins, while the use of Murano glass in the Laguna Oro basin and fine crystal in the Ice Oval basin allow for elegant and timeless appeal.
A standout material in Pittella’s vanity basin collection is TeknoForm, a polymer-based material that mimics a variety of textures, such as mosaics, stone, marble or wood, without the associated cost.
“A beautiful example of TeknoForm is our Rapalano counter top basins. They are produced from TeknoForm but they look just like travertine stone,” says Simone.
The innovative materials and striking sculptural forms of Pittella’s vanity basins add unique character and charm to the collection. “Our vanity basins are left of centre,” says Simone. “They are true originals.”
